PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitating container able to disperse or separate a liquid by applying a great agitating force while reducing shaking force or the number of times of applying shaking force. SOLUTION: An agitating container 1 for dispersing or separating a liquid agitated by shaking the container 1 with the liquid therein includes: a bottomed outer cylinder 2 with an opening 2a at the top; a freely-detachable lid 6 that closes the opening 2a; and an inner cylinder 3 disposed in the outer cylinder 2. Grooves 4a and 4b are formed in an internal circumferential face 3b and an external circumferential face 3a so as to be axially parallel to each other with a predetermined frequency T.
