PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having a digital zoom function, which enables a user to intuitively recognize an extent of deterioration of image quality of an image to be photographed. SOLUTION: The camera 2 having the digital zoom function includes: an imaging means 4 having an image pickup element; an image processing means 14 which performs image processing of the image photographed by the imaging means; and an image recording means 8 which records an image processed by the image processing means. The image processing means has a digital zoom processing means 20 which performs digital zoom processing to the image photographed by the imaging means. The camera includes a calculating means 16 of a degree of image quality, which calculates a degree of image quality of the recorded image which has been recorded by the image recording means and a displaying means 10 of a degree of image quality, which displays the degree of image quality, when digital zoom processing is being performed by the digital zoom processing means.
