The programmable camera (11) has a camera control unit (12), an optical sensor (13), a volatile data memory (14), a flash memory (15), and an interface to a data bus (16), particularly a controller area network bus. The camera is configured to optically receive and read optical code, particularly bar codes, of programming data in a programming mode. The received programming data is used for programming the flash memory. The data bus receive programming mode signal, in which programming modes exist. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a programming medium for programming a programmable camera; and (2) a method for programming a programmable camera. |
