Crane with a boom tensioning device

The crane comprises an anchored boom arrangement (11) and a superstructure at which a main boom (10) is pivoted in a vertical rocker plane. A derrick boom is pivoted at the superstructure, where a stranding is provided between the main boom and the anchored boom arrangement which has a transverse link between both the anchored points. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a crane.
