PURPOSE: A control method of a washing machine is provided to stop an operation of the washing machine in a freeze state, thereby securing safety. CONSTITUTION: A control unit senses temperature through a temperature sensor before supply of washing water to a tank. The control unit supplies the washing water to the tank through a water supply valve when the sensed temperature is lower than reference temperature(S12). The control unit senses a water level of the tank through a water level sensor(S13). The control unit stops an operation of a washing machine when the water level of the tank is not reached to a first setting water level within a first setting time(S17).
