A composite comprises a layer of material 318 having a decorative graphic 321 and an electrically conductive material 322 in the layer of material 318. The layer of material 318 is attached to a surface 312 of an aircraft. The electrically conductive material 322 causes a current from an atmospheric electrostatic discharge 308 contacting the layer of material 318 to spread out in a desired amount within the layer of material 318.
