The present invention provides a method and apparatus of accessing a channel in a wireless local area network. The method comprises: transmitting, by a first station, a plurality of request to send, RTS, frames to allocate a network allocation vector to a second station over a first band; and receiving, by the first station, a clear to send, CTS, frame over a second band from the second station as a response to the plurality of RTS frames, wherein the first band includes a plurality of first 20 MHz bands, each of the plurality of RTS frames corresponding to each of the plurality of first 20 MHz bands, wherein the second band includes a 20 MHz second band, wherein the number of the 20 MHz second band is equal to or less than the number of the plurality of first 20 MHz bands, and wherein each of the plurality of RTS frames includes transmission mode information indicating an entire bandwidth of the plurality of first 20 MHz bands. |
