PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus provided with an improved reservoir and a spray gun. SOLUTION: A coating reservoir has a fluid outlet that can be connected to a spray gun 101 and a fluid inlet 131 provided with a removable screw cap 132, so that the fluid inlet 131 is directly accessible for introducing a coating material to the reservoir while being attached to the spray gun 101. The fluid outlet and the fluid inlet 131 are both provided on the end wall of the reservoir, wherein the outlet is arranged on the longitudinal axis of the reservoir or arranged to be shifted from the same, so as to make it possible to increase the size of the fluid inlet 131 to facilitate the filling of the reservoir. The reservoir is attached to the spray gun 101 so that the outlet is aligned along the longitudinal axis of the reservoir or tilted with respect to the longitudinal axis, enabling provision of a larger opening for the access to the fluid inlet 131.
