PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering control device capable of solving that a current instruction value is rapidly varied and a vehicle becomes unstable immediately after abnormality of steering torque is detected. SOLUTION: The electric power steering control device is provided with a torque sensor 1 for detecting steering torque of steering; a low pass filter 2 for removing a high frequency component of output of the torque sensor 1; a torque instruction calculation part 3 for calculating the current instruction value based on output from the low pass filter 2; a motor drive means 5 for driving an electric motor 6 for assisting steering of the steering based on the current instruction value; and an abnormality determination means 7 for detecting abnormality of the steering torque based on the output from the torque sensor 1. When the abnormality determination means 7 detects abnormality of the steering torque, the time constant of the low pass filter 2 is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
