PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform map display with landmark display optimized so that information desired by a user can be obtained easily. SOLUTION: In ST11 map image display is performed. In ST12 travel route display is provided on the map image. In ST13 imaging position display is provided on the map image. In ST14 current position display is provided on the map image. In ST15 a predetermined range is set on the basis of an imaging position, and a predetermined range is set on the basis of a travel route and a current position, respectively. In ST16 the number of the types of landmark display provided on the map image in a range other than the predetermined range is reduced than that in the predetermined range. Landmark display which is not important for a user and apart from the imaging position, travel route, and current position is allowed to be not provided on the map image, thereby performing map image with landmark display optimized.
