FIELD: physics, tests. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to monitoring of abrasive wear resistance of large-size parts from metal materials. Part surface is worn during specified time by specified load by rotary rubber roller in the presence of abrasive. Wear is measured by weighing. At first calibration is carried out by means of wear of samples from similar materials and their weighing before and after tests. Produced hole of wear is coated with viscous-flow substance, is leveled aflush with sample surface, and then removed completely by means of previously weighed paper that absorbs this substance well and is again weighed. Difference of weights is used to detect mass of viscous-flow material filling the hole, which is used to build calibration curve, comparing it with lost mass of metal after wear, curve is used to detect wear resistance of parts, using viscous-flow substance mass for measurement. ^ EFFECT: provision of possibility to detect abrasive wear resistance of parts without application as express-control of their quality. ^ 2 cl |
