The food processor has a goblet (4) which fits into it and is closed by a removable lid (12). This has an annular housing around its edge, in which a slide ring (20) is mounted above a sealing ring (19). The inner wall (24) of the housing projects towards the goblet wall and the lid has a flange (13) which fits into a groove (8) in the machine to lock it in place.
