PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a base line when coloring a line drawing including gradations, without protruding from the base line. SOLUTION: The method for coloring a line drawing includes steps of: accepting a stroke for a region including the line drawing (S302); converting a stroked region into binary expressions , and thinning lines configuring the line drawing (S303); determining the group (S304); determining a start point and an end point (S304-2); deleting a branch (S306); calculating costs (S307); retrieving the lines with the minimum cost based on the costs (S308 to S312-2); setting a selection range (S313); and performing coloring (S314).
