PURPOSE: A method for controlling a discharge door of a food waste disposal device is provided to prevent users from being exposed to a high temperature drying furnace and exhaust gas when a discharge door could not be closed because foreign materials are jammed in the discharge door. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a discharge door of a food waste disposal device is as follows. A discharge door(150) of a drying furnace(100) having a heating member(110) and a crushing motor(130) is opened. The discharge door rotates to be closed after a predetermined discharge time. If the discharge door is not closed, the discharge door rotates in the opposite direction. The crushing motor is rotated.
