PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a glass plate etc., that can suppress a glass plate from varying in width and prevent plate cutting even when the glass plate is thin.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method for a glass plate comprising a molding process of molding a glass plate while transporting the glass plate downward by letting molten glass overflow from a molding by a down-drawing method. In the manufacturing method, the glass plate has width-directional end parts and a width-directional center region sandwiched between the end parts and also has the end parts selectively cooled from a position apart from the end parts by a cooling device so as to suppress width-directional shrinkage of the glass plate, and after the end parts of the glass plate are selectively cooled, the glass plate is cooled while the end parts having a larger thickness than the width-directional center region are held by a pair of rollers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
