The present invention relates to a method for suppressing the inhibition of methane production by sodium in an anaerobic digestion process of organic waste and, more specifically, to a method for increasing the production of methane by preventing the inhibition of the metabolism of methane bacteria using glycerol during the fermentation of anaerobic methane. According to the present invention, the method treats the organic waste including sodium in large quantities, and can produce methane gas as useful energy in an efficient manner.
