PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongation detecting device for chain pieces of a passenger conveyor that can detect that one chain of two rows of chains is elongated beyond a predetermined dimension more than the other chain.SOLUTION: The elongation detecting device for chain pieces of a passenger conveyor comprises: a roller 201A that contacts a first chain 108 and a second chain 109 by making the first chain 108 and the second chain 109 to be sandwiched between a driving sprocket 103 and the roller; a detecting portion 204 that detects that a first contact portion 202A of the roller 201A is separated beyond a distance corresponding to a predetermined dimension, or a set distance, from the driving sprocket 103, more than a second contact portion 203A of the roller 201A; and an abnormal signal output portion 205 that when the detecting portion 204 detects that the first contact portion 202A is separated beyond the set distance from the sprocket more than the second contact portion 203A, outputs an abnormal signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
