PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device allowing occurrence of liquid leakage in a liquid supply path from liquid storage bodies to a liquid injection head to be accurately determined.SOLUTION: A liquid injection device comprises: a liquid injection head 24 capable of injecting ink; a liquid supply path EKR supplying the ink from ink cartridges 15 storing the ink to the liquid injection head; a sub-tank 50 being provided in the liquid supply path and accumulating the ink; an accumulation amount detection section 71 detecting an accumulation amount of the ink in the sub-tank by a detection sensor; a liquid residual amount specification section 72 specifying a residual amount of the ink remaining in the ink cartridges at the time of detection of the accumulation amount of the ink by the accumulation amount detection section; and a determination section 73 determining ink leakage occurrence in the liquid supply path when the detected accumulation amount of the ink in the sub-tank is less than a predetermined accumulation amount set according to the specified residual amount of the ink in the ink cartridges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
