<p>The device (1) has an electrically grounded conveyor (4) conveyed towards and away from a stack (2) in an idle position. Linear electrodes (17) are embedded in lateral adjustable stoppers (6a, 6b). An upper press plate (7) is vertically lowered on the stack. An electrically conductive surface electrode (8) contacts the stack and is applied with electrical voltage for electrostatic charging of the stack. The press plate is formed by the surface electrode.
