A vacuum cleaner is provided to enhance the quantity of foreign material collected inside a foreign material storing chamber, and to lessen the cycle of wasting foreign materials by increasing the quantity of the collected foreign material. A vacuum cleaner comprises: a suction nozzle body(1) sucking outside air; a waterdrop generation unit(708) installed in the suction nozzle body to generate waterdrop; and a dust collecting unit for collecting foreign material coarsened by waterdrop. The dust collecting unit operates in a cyclone system. The waterdrop generation unit exposes a part to a passage where air flows, and generates waterdrop by using cool air provided from a cooling system. The cooling system is a steam cooling system and a thermoelectric module(707). A heater generating waterdrop is formed at the dust collecting unit. The waterdrop generation unit generates waterdrop in the suction nozzle body, and the waterdrop is discharged through a waterdrop discharge hole exposed to the passage where air flows. |
