PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear part vehicle body structure of a vehicle which avoids stress concentration on peripheral members to eliminate the need of reinforcement of the peripheral members while employing a slim rear upper member having high rigidity.SOLUTION: A rear part vehicle body structure of a vehicle includes a rear upper member 30 connecting left and right side walls of a vehicle body in a vehicle width direction. The rear upper member 30 has a connection part 30D connected with a damper support part. A portion of the rear upper member 30, which is located closer to the center side than the connection part 30D in a vehicle width direction, is formed as a closed cross section. A portion of the rear upper member 30, which is located closer to the outer side than the connection part 30D in the vehicle width direction, is formed as a closed cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
