PURPOSE: An interface method between an external device and a mobile device and a device thereof are provided to output video of the mobile device through an external device by using a single connector, and perform control according to the input to the external device at the same time, thereby streamlining interface and mechanical configuration. CONSTITUTION: A mobile device(100) has video data for external output, and transmits a video signal of the video data to an external device(200) according to the selection. The external device displays the video based on the video signal from the mobile device, generates an input signal based on the user input, and transmits the input signal to the mobile device. The video signal of the mobile device and the input signal of the external device are transmitted by using a single interface for connection between the mobile device and the external device.
