<p>A mounting system 100 is provided for receiving a display item such as a picture or photograph to be displayed. The system 100 comprises a display item receiving surface 99 arranged to receive the item to be displayed; a releasable layer 200 arranged on the receiving surface 99 including first and second adjacent foldable portions 201,203 arranged in a first configuration (see figure 3); and an adhesive layer 300 interposed between the receiving surface 99 and the releasable layer 200; wherein, when arranged in a second configuration (see figure 4b), the first and second portions expose a first region of the adhesive layer 300 and define a mounting support for the display item (403,figure 4c). In one aspect, the display item receiving surface 99 includes a boundary region (107,figure 1) around its periphery devoid of adhesive layer. In another aspect, one portion of the releasable layer 201extends over an edge of a face of the mounting system 100.</p> |
