PURPOSE: A regenerative braking system for a vehicle is provided to reduce production costs and to improve operation efficiency by simplifying the structure thereof. CONSTITUTION: A regenerative braking system for a vehicle comprises first and second cylinders(100,200), a hydraulic pressure generator(400), and a valve(250). The first cylinder directly generates hydraulic pressure by a driver. The second cylinder generates hydraulic pressure required for braking by receiving hydraulic pressure from an accumulator of the hydraulic pressure generator and transfers the generated hydraulic pressure to wheels. The hydraulic pressure generator generates hydraulic pressure by recognizing required braking force or generates electricity by receiving hydraulic pressure from the second cylinder. The first valve is inserted between the first and second cylinders to selectively supply hydraulic pressure from the first cylinder to the second cylinder.
