PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rudder capable of being easily assembled and capable of diffusing a hub eddy while suppressing a decrease in propulsion efficiency, and a ship.SOLUTION: A rudder includes a rudder body 9 which turns a hull 2 around by being arranged behind a propeller 3 for propelling the hull 2, and a plate member 14 which is provided at a front end 11 of the rudder body 9 and arranged on an extension of a central axis O of the propeller 3 and which is formed in such a plate shape that an outer edge is curved so that a width dimension can be gradually increased backward from the front end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
