The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for effectively generating a discrete Fourier transformed preamble sequence used in uplink PRACH transmission of a wireless communications system. The method for generating a discrete Fourier transformed preamble sequence in a wireless communications system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: calculating a first index corresponding to the length of a Zadoff-Chu sequence by using control information; extracting, using a preamble format, a value on a unit circle corresponding to the first index value or a value on the unit circle corresponding to a second index value, which is transformed from the first index value; reflecting a code on the unit circle included a corresponding index value on the extracted value on the unit circle; and multiplying the code-reflected value by an initial sequence value using a root index. The present invention can generate a discrete Fourier transformed preamble sequence in real time, and reduce the size of a required memory. |
