摘要 Provided are a single element ultrasonic waves transducer and a method of manufacturing the single element ultrasonic waves transducer for intravascular diagnosis and treatment. According to an embodiment, the method comprises the steps of: producing an intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) stack by laminating a matched layer, a piezoelectric element, and a sound absorbing layer; sub-dicing which is to remove a part of the sound absorbing layer on the IVUS stack by using a cutting device; charging non-conductive materials into a kerf of the sound absorbing layer produced in the sub-dicing step; and producing at least one single element IVUS stack by dicing the charged and hardened non-conductive materials into certain sizes by using the cutting device. The present invention is capable of minimizing the distortion of ultrasound waves beams and transceiving sensitivity because the area of the piezoelectric element where the ultrasound waves beams are generated can maximized through an effective method of electrode connection.
