PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of curling of a cleaning blade even when an initial toner is not sufficiently applied, and ensure cleaning performance for long-term use.SOLUTION: There is provided a cleaning device that presses a cleaning blade 140 on the surface of a moving photoreceptor 11 along a direction intersecting with the direction of movement of the photoreceptor 11 to remove a toner on the surface of the photoreceptor 11, the cleaning device comprising: a blade sheet metal 141 that rotatably supports the cleaning blade 140 with respect to the photoreceptor 11; a tension spring 143 that brings a cleaning member 141 into pressure contact with the photoreceptor 11 at a predetermined contact pressure; and a stopper member 145 as a switching member that switches between a rotation state and a rotation inhibited state of the blade sheet metal 141.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
