PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device and an elevator control method which perform an operation of an elevator efficiently by reducing passengers left behind.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, an elevator control device which is connected to a load detection device and an output device installed in an elevator car inside a building and to a monitoring camera device installed at a landing of the elevator includes: a load amount calculation unit; an analysis unit; a ridable passenger number calculation unit; and an output information generation unit. The load amount calculation unit calculates a load amount of a car based on the information acquired from the load detection device. The analysis unit analyzes imaging information in which the landing is photographed by the monitoring camera device, and detects passengers at the landing. When the passengers are detected in the landing while the car's door is open at the landing, the ridable passenger number calculation unit calculates the number of people who can ride the car based on the calculated load amount of the car. The output information generation unit generates output information for notifying the calculated number of passengers who can ride the car, and transmits it to the output device. |
