The present invention relates to an emergency charging device for a door lock and a method thereof and, more specifically, to an emergency charging device for a door lock capable of: operating the door lock using a battery or a secondary battery in a normal charging mode depending on the remaining charged amount by charging the secondary battery using light or the battery when the battery is not discharged; and operating the door lock in an emergency charging mode by charging the secondary battery urgently using light when the battery is discharged and a method thereof. To that end, according to the present invention, the emergency charging device includes: a primary battery; a solar cell module which receives input of external light and outputs a voltage; a secondary battery which receives the voltage outputted by the primary battery or solar cell module and stores electricity; and a door lock control unit which controls the operation of the door lock to be driven by the secondary battery if the amount of electricity stored in the secondary battery is equal to or greater than a predefined maximum value or by the primary battery if the amount is less than the maximum value. |
