PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to maintain stability when arc is generated after a fuse blew, by comprising a fuse part outside a cap plate and to increase the degree of freedom for designing a fuse part. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises: a case(15) with an inner part and outer part; an electrode assembly(10) which has a first electrode(11) and second electrode(12) and is arranged inside the case; and electrode terminal elements(21c,22c) which are placed outside the case, electrically connected to the first electrode, and comprise the first plate and the second plate separated to each other; and a fuse part(60) connecting the first plate and the second plate. The whole fuse part is located outside the case.
