<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive unit for a turbo charger with motor reducing a reactor in size, ripples, and cost. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor 2 and a turbo charger 3 which form the turbo charger 1 with motor, a voltage booster circuit 5a which receives supply of DC power supply 4, a reactor 6 through which all currents input and output from the DC power supply 4 pass, an inverter circuit 7 which inputs an output of the voltage booster circuit 5a, and a capacitor 8 connected to an output end of the voltage booster circuit 5a and/or to an input end of the inverter circuit 7. In the motor drive unit Ea for the turbo charger with motor, the output of the inverter circuit 7 is used as a motor drive current, which is supplied to each phase of the permanent magnet synchronous motor 2 to drive, wherein a power semiconductor portion 9 included in the voltage booster circuit 5a and the reactor 6 are connected by a wire rod 62 of a predetermined length or larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
