PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent rainbow smudge by forming a light-absorbing layer on a pixel electrode and a common electrode. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor(30) is formed in a first substrate. A gate line(11), a data line and a common line(41) are formed on the first substrate. A pixel electrode(39) is electrically connected to a drain electrode(35) of the thin film transistor. A common electrode(43) is electrically connected with the common line. A light-absorbing layer(53) absorbs external light. A BM(Black Matrix) spacer(51) is formed in the region corresponding to the thin film transistor. |
