PURPOSE: A method for preparing hydroxy fatty acid using eicosenoic acid is provided to obtain a novel hydroxyl fatty acid using Pseudomonas aeruginosa. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing hydroxy fatty acid using Pseudomonas aeruginosa microorganism comprises: a step of using eicosenoic acid as a substrate. The microorganism is Pseudomonas aeruginosa PR3(NRRL strain B-18602). The hydroxy fatty acid has each hydroxyl group at 9th carbon and 12th carbon of a fatty acid chain with 20 carbon atoms. The microorganism is cultured at 10-45 deg.C. for 24-120 hours. A carbon source is glucose, galactose, fructose, or maltose. A nitrogen source is a yeast extract, a malt extract, or glutamine. |
