PURPOSE: A method for generating an FEC(Forward Error Correction) packet, a method for transceiving an error correcting packet, and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent packet loss in a multimedia system. CONSTITUTION: A control unit adds sequence number information of a packet corresponding to first block boundary information and second block boundary information to header information of a packet. The control unit controls the transmission of each FEC packet block. The first block border information indicates a block boundary about the multiple first FEC packet blocks. The second block border information displays the block boundary about the second FEC packet block.
