<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication information management system capable of preventing a leak or unauthorized use of authentication information to ensure high security. <P>SOLUTION: The authentication information management system 100 comprises: a portable recording medium 10 having readable/writable storage means; authentication means 21 for authenticating the portable recording medium 10 held by a user by identification information, a password, etc.; and authentication information management means 22 for writing single sign-on information, etc. on the storage means of the portable recording medium 10 when the user enters a particular room 50, and deleting the single sign-on information, etc. on the storage means of the portable recording medium 10 when the user leaves the particular room 50.
