PURPOSE: An electromagnetic continuous casting machine for manufacturing silicon ingot is provided to prevent the generation of an impurity by reducing the contact area between molten silicon ingot and a cold crucible. CONSTITUTION: A cold crucible is arranged in the inner side of an induction coil(130). Slits(120) are vertically formed. A segment(110) is divided by the slits. The width of the segment is 20 to 50mm. A horizontal section of the cold crucible is square or rectangular shape.
