PURPOSE: A child safety seat for vehicles is provided to swathe the chest of a child where vital organs exist in a chest guard, thereby holding the child in a comfortable manner and preventing injuries caused by external impacts. CONSTITUTION: A child safety seat for vehicles(1) includes a backing plate, a chest guard(20), a waist belt(22), a chest belt(24), a leg belt(25), a first locking belt, a second locking belt, and a fixing unit. The backing plate is attached to the back side of a backrest. The chest guard protrudes from both sides of the front of the backrest to wrap the chest of a child. The waist belt fastens the chest guard close to the chest of the child. The chest belt is connected to the seat in the upper part of the backrest to fasten the upper body to the backrest. The leg belt protrudes from both sides of the upper part of the seat to fasten and wrap the lower body of the child. The first and the second locking belt cross the backside of the backrest horizontally and vertically to fasten the backrest to a seatback of a car. The seat fixing unit is inserted into the gap between the backrest of the seat and the seatback of the car for fixing. |
