A broadcasting program guide receiving method and a mobile terminal capable of realizing the method are provided to receive a broadcasting program guide by using an OTA(Over The Air) message in a slotted mode between the terminal and a mobile communication network, thus the user does not have to access a wireless Internet to receive the guide. A mobile terminal(100) checks whether it is necessary to download a broadcasting program guide(S31). If so, the terminal transmits a broadcasting program guide request signal to a base station(S32). The base station delivers the request signal to a broadcasting program guide server(S33). The server analyzes the request signal to provide a broadcasting program guide corresponding to a region where the terminal is located(S34). The broadcasting program guide is converted into an OTA message and delivered to the terminal(S35). |
