PURPOSE: A monitoring system for a machine tool using an RS-485 serial communication method is provided to obtain reliability of data by changing an RS-485 data frame structure. CONSTITUTION: Sensor interface boards(210-230) receive sensing data from a plurality of sensors. A DAS client(300) performs RS-485 communications with the sensor interface boards. The DAS client transmits a request packet to the sensor interface boards. The sensor interface boards transmit a response packet including a plurality of sensing data to the DAS client in response to the request packet.
