PURPOSE: A rental printer ink box monitoring system and a monitoring method are provided to inform impact generation, an impact size and an impact time to a rental service server and to transmit image data to a surrounding printer, thereby investigating an impact reason. CONSTITUTION: Delay information of an ink box ID is determined by searching a database. When the ink box ID is connected at a constant interval, a microprocessor operates a camera module and deletes old image data. Output of an operation signal in an impact sensor is determined. When the operation signal in the impact sensor is not outputted, an opening state of a cover is determined. A residual quantity of an ink is sensed by an ink level sensing unit in a state of closing the cover.
