PURPOSE: An improved grindstone support is provided to control tension according to a standard of a grindstone by reducing the tension supporting the grinding stone as an angle between a central ring and left and right supporting rings becomes narrow. CONSTITUTION: An improved grindstone support comprises a tightly supporting projections(20), a protruding sills(21), supporting rings(22), and a brace(3). The tightly supporting projections are formed in a grindstone supporting portion(H) of grindstone support legs and tightly support a grindstone(50). The protruding sills are formed in one spot of front and rear sides. The supporting rings installed in end portions of supporting rods(11) of return springs(2,2a) are hung on the protruding sills. The supporting rings of the returning springs are fitted in front and rear sides of the grindstone support legs, thereby being supported by the protruding sills. The brace is fitted into a ring in a central portion of the returning spring and an end portion(23) is formed in a front end of the brace.
