PURPOSE: An arc welding method is provided to prevent the generation of opposite spatter since after initial arc generation, the supply of a welding wire is temporarily stopped. CONSTITUTION: An arc welding method comprises next steps. A welding wire is supplied to a welding base and arc discharge is created between the welding wire and the welding base(S10). When the welding wire is electrically connected to the welding base by arc discharge, welding current is detected(S20). The dimension of welding current detected is compared with that of reference current, which is previously set(S30). If the former is greater than the latter, the supply of the welding wire is stopped(S40). The time when the supply of the welding wire is stopped is compared with a reference stop time, which is previously set(S50). |
