PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing a source specific multicast service in Ethernet are provided to facilitate channel expansion by removing a process of confirming the existing multicast route. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(210) transmits an IGMP(Internet Group Management Protocol) packet(212) to a router. The user terminal transmits channel receive information using a MAC address of a router as a destination MAC address. If the channel subscriber exists in a port where the channel receiving information is inputted, An Ethernet switch(230) outputs a frame having MAC address as a destination address to the input port. |
