An image processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to process a region of image data, where null data not having a color tone value is included, efficiently, thereby improving the whole processing speed. An image processing apparatus(100) comprises the followings: an input unit(110), to which image data having encoded pixel data corresponding to a plurality of color channels, is inputted; an image processor(120) which arranges and outputs the pixel data; and a controller(130) which does not arrange the pixel data in case the inputted pixel data is all null data, and controls the image processor so as to arrange the pixel data in case a portion of the inputted pixel data does not have null data. |
