The memory module (100, 320) is configured to configure each of the plurality of data input/output ports (350 1 , 350 2 , 350 3 , 350 4 ) as an input port (350 1 , and 350 3 ), an output port (350 2 and 350 4 ), or an input/output port (350 1 , 350 2 , 350 3 , 350 4 ) in response to a first command from a first controller (310 1 ) functioning as a master controller of the plurality of controllers (310 1 , 310 2 , 310 3 , 310 4 ). The memory module (100, 320) is also configured to partition itself into memory partitions in response to a second command from the first controller (310 1 ) so that each memory partition corresponds to a respective one of the controllers of the plurality of controllers (310 1 , 310 2 , 310 3 , 310 4 ). Each of a plurality of data input/output ports of the plurality of controllers (310 1 , 310 2 , 310 3 , 310 4 ) is configurable as an input port, an output port, or an input/output port to correspond to a respective one of the input/output ports of the memory module. |
