<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional apparatus in which a user needs to operate, for example, an operation button to change a display on a display unit. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a display unit; a distance measurement unit for measuring a distance between the display unit and a user; an imaging unit for acquiring image data by imaging a subject; and a display control unit for, on the basis of a measurement result of the distance measurement unit, changing a display of at least one of an image display of image data on the display unit and a function setting display on the imaging unit.
