<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new production method of 2-(aryloxymethyl)benzaldehyde compound, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This production method of 2-(aryloxymethyl)banzaldehyde expressed by formula (4) comprises: a step (A) of hydrolyzing a compound expressed by formula (1); and a step (B) of reacting the compound expressed by formula (2) obtained in the step (A) with a compound expressed by formula (3) or a salt thereof, where in formulae, X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, X<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">3</SP>each independently represents a chlorine atom, bromine atom or iodine atom; Q<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, Q<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, Q<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and Q<SP POS="POST">4</SP>each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; Ar represents a phenyl group which may have a substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
