<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of surely installing a battery unit to a vehicle body, without enlarging the transfer device itself. <P>SOLUTION: This transfer 7 of the embodiment includes a transfer device body 70, and a control device 70a. The transfer device body 70 has a support table 26, four individual placing tables 27a-27d, four expansion rods 27e-27h, the whole lifting mechanism 36, and a base part 33. The transfer device body 70 can lift the support table 26 by the whole lifting mechanism 36, and can individually lift the respective individual placing tables 27a-27d by individually lifting the respective expansion rods 27e-27h.
