The car has a body with a structural transverse beam (1) i.e. light metal cat component, which runs in a region of an A-column along vehicle transverse direction. A knee airbag is attached at the transverse beam by two fastening points (3) in a bridged manner. The transverse beam comprises a screw opening (4) and a hook element (5) at each fastening point. The knee airbag comprises an opening, which is aligned to the screw opening at the transverse beam, and another opening (7) at the fastening point. The hook element is engaged in the latter opening of the airbag.
